Welcome to a world of rants and rambles, as well as articles about the world of motoring!
Hi! Firstly, welcome—I'm Dan. I've used writing as a way of venting the noise in my head for a few years now, pouring out the ear-splitting concerto of thoughts, ideas, and opinions that swirl around in my head on a daily basis. This constant noise is thanks to a mixture of anxiety and depression, causing me to massively overthink and making it impossible to ever have a single thought. The idea of concentrating on one thing is something I long to be able to do, because for me, it's physically impossible. Combine that with massive overthinking, which causes the lump of grey matter wedged between my ears to constantly analyse every situation, notice every single little detail, and a million other things—ultimately meaning my brain makes more noise than a stadium filled with fans all shouting at the World Cup final, from the moment I open my eyes to the moment I fall asleep.
And that’s where these rants, rambles and articles come from.
Whilst trying to get started writing about cars, I realized that by writing down all the thoughts and opinions about whatever car I was writing about—moaning about the lack of cup holders, or how long it takes to get out of its own way—my brain went quiet. It was like I was dumping out the noise echoing through the cavern behind my eyes onto paper, giving me a brief moment of relief.
Now, whilst the motoring-themed rants never saw the light of day—well, until now anyhow—I started writing about anything and everything, making them into short rambles or "chapters," as I call them. That’s where this site comes in. This is the new home of my rants and rambles, where you can laugh with me (or at me), uploading them as I write them for people to find, and for me to keep in one place, because everything is on the internet nowadays.
I'm also re-attempting to start some form of motor journalism as well, using my ability to rant and ramble about anything, and turning it into a unique perspective on the fantastic world of motoring.

I did a thing!
I started writing as a way to vent my rants and rambles a long time ago. Recently, I decided to dig through the piles of old notes and pull out the best ones to turn into a book. These pieces span the last three years—from sitting in a hospital room waiting for the arrival of my son in October 2022, right up to October 2025.
